"Opening with Backstreets, Tramps dug in with a mixed set of old and new Springsteen. The 3rd song of the evening was a version of Radio Nowhere that was so good if you closed you eyes you would have thought Bruce himself was in Phoenixville." - Phoenixville News
"I turned my back to 'Tramps' and I was sure the E Street Band was playing." Mr. Appel said. "Especially because of the obscure stuff. Nobody plays, 'Thundercrack.' Hearing them, it was just like being back in 1975." - Mike Appel / Former Springsteen Manager & Producer "You would have to be completely allergic to Springsteen to not be won over by the rambunctious atmosphere." - NY Newsday "The #1 Springsteen Tribute Band in the Land!" - DJ Matt Zako-95.9 "The Fox' CT's Classic Rock "But for Tramps Like Us, paying tribute to the Boss and the "E" Street Band has nothing to do with appearances - it's all about the music." - The Philadelphia Inquirer "Everything from Radio Nowhere to Cadillac Ranch to Jungleland to Thunder Road, I mean if you like Bruce, if you didn't know it, and you looked up and, you would think it would be Bruce." I've seen several Springsteen tribute bands over the years, all of which seem to focus more on looking, and acting like Springsteen and his band, rather than performing the music as Springsteen and his band would. This is the best sounding Springsteen tribute band of the bunch. If you're a Springsteen fan, like myself, go check out Tramps Like Us... you won't be disappointed. - Scott Hirsch / Director of Development - VH-1 |
